Apartment Bogortuin

APARTMENT, AMSTERDAM
The apartment is located on the fourth floor of Diener & Diener's Hoogkade residential building, situated on the crossing from Java Island to KNSM Island in Amsterdam.
From the one-side oriented apartment you have a magnificent view of the IJhaven. The existing interior has been completely stripped. In the new situation, the various living spaces are designed as one piece of furniture. As a continuous entity, the entrance hall unfolds into kitchen element and wardrobe, to proceed into bathroom, dressing room and bedroom, with hidden storage space created all around. A horizontal band in the oak furniture threads the different spaces together, and is also used to house technology. The different living functions are embraced by the furniture, creating unity in the apartment.
The warm appearance of the oak wood, the precise detailing and construction of the furniture, gives the apartment a calm and serene atmosphere, where the colourful art and furnishings come into their own.
