Following the example of the publication Mevr. de Architect and in collaboration with editor-in-chief Merel Pit, Bureau Europa is organizing this special lecture series within the framework of the exhibition Love in a Mist - the architecture of fertility. In five lectures in May and June 2021, the space and position of femininity in architecture will be explored. Lecture #2 Where are the women? Architectural history and femininity Architectural historian Catja Edens considers the terrifying treatment of women in the history books. Architects Teske van Royen (Artesk van Royen Architecten) and Evelien Pieters (AR-TUR) reflect on the situation in the Netherlands and Flanders respectively.
